Hi all,

Maybe add to this topic also CAT6A ( 500 Mhz ) for 10 Gigabit applications and CAT7A ( 1000 Mhz ) for future 40 Gigabit applications that was ratified this year. CAT6A ratified by ISO and TIA standard. CAT7A of course only by ISO standard.

More in detail for CAT6A => ANSI/TIA/EIA568B.2-10  and   ISO/IEC 11801:2002/A1:2008

Rgds

I've added a new page to the Network Cabling Help website covering Cat 6A and 7A cabling systems. It goes into detail about the new connectors and allien crosstalk testing.

You can find it here:

I am surprised how popular the Cat6A solutions have suddenly become leaving the Cat6 system to R.I.P

Those with a small budget are still looking for a Cat5e installation, customers looking to invest more in the cabling infrastructure are asking for the Cat6A systems more and more.
